Frieda Thunderegg with Pastel Colours

A somewhat incomplete specimen as you can see - not surprisingly given the softness of the matrix. The cave has a partly polyhedral shape, suggesting it is at least partly a crystal cast. The whole stone has a very washed out appearance as though all the colours, even the core, have leeched out over the years. This is one of the first specimens the collector has ever released into the world. Given the beauty of the colours and patterning, I shall be working hard for a second! :-)
