Viewpoint Thunderegg

A very interesting and unusual pair. This is a substantial stone filled with a rich brown agate shot through with the most wondrous curtains of mineralisation. Jason Hinkle, from whom I bought the stone, speculates that a zeolite mineral was in place first, then the agate formed around it - leaving a spiderweb pattern. However it formed, it is a unique stone in my experience - a really beautiful oddball. It is open at the top actually leaving a small portion of the tube structure exposed - with a small area of pillowy agate, as though it filled up like a vase. The other half is below.
