Little Naches River, Bed 2 Green Conglomerate
Not a separate bed - it's part of Bed 2 - but it is sufficiently individual for me to give it a page of its own. This material is a dense hard conglomerate filled with tiny thundereggs. At the risk of hyping, this material is truly amazing. The eggs within it are often perfectly formed, or sometimes curiously smeared and 'dissolved' - some seriously small. Indeed, this specimen below contains what is technically my smallest thunderegg specimens. The tiniest ones here that still have recognizable t-egg cores are about 2 mm long or even less. Zoom in close and it looks like a surreal artwork depicting the night sky. It's a rock that demands details, and I have provided plenty accompanying the specimen below.
