Why are some of the best and most distinctive eggs from locations now closed off and unavailable? In this case, the area has been designated a wilderness area and closed. Wilderness or no - the Black Rock Desert eggs are some of my personal favorites, for that wonderful brick-red matrix especially. So I am grabbing them while I can before they get rarer! This was located near the town of Gerlach in Nevada.
