Dumbrava / Cluj Napoca Thundereggs

A Transylvania thunderegg! Dumbrava is probably the more accurate name but they are most familier as Cluj Napoca, after the nearby city. One of the very few locations in Romania, these are usually quite small, in the 2-10cm range. Their characteristic pale matrix surrounds a simple agate with banding and some quite bright colours, though mostly in the smaller stones. The co-ordinates of this location are 46°49′22″N 23°13′02″E.
