Bolo / Ascension / Del Rey Thundereggs
A location characterised by its soft brick-red matrix and often white banded agate. This is a good example of how complicated Mexican stones can be to classify. Initially known as Ciudad Chihuahua and Bolo thundreggs, they then got the name Ascension (christened by German collectors) and Galeana Thundereggs. Eventually they were rediscovered by Albert Ray, who began selling them again under the new name Del Rey. The specimens below are from this recent stock.
