One of the most beautiful of all the german locations - and also in some way one of the saddest. Whatever ancient forces shaped these stones have assaulted them, frequently leaving them misshapen and tormented - but there's more than that. If you are like me and like to see pictures and figures in these rocks, the figures in Nesselhof stones are almost always sad and dark. Look at the Two Sad Dancers stone, which seems to feature a sad figure dancing with his broken heart - or the Coffee Cream stone, which I tried to see as tasty but which has reminded others of plague and sickness.

Nesselhof thundereggs come from a site just a mile from the town of Nesselhof, which makes it a dangerous location to dig (too close to civilization?) and these stones are rarely seen. As a personal favorite though, I have tracked down many of them, hence this huge gallery of rocks, many of which are not in my personal collection. There is a sad and rather bitter magic about them - and some amazing geology going on as well! Definitely one of the great locations of the world!
