Baumgartental #1, East Side

The Baumgartental Stones come from two different sites, one on each side of the valley. These are from the eastern side and the rarer of the two, with permission to dig extremely hard to get. Also the land is wild and the stones are 2-3 metres below the surface. However, these are very subtle and charming stones, with delicate finely banded agate within an equally delicate soft brown matrix. The very different Baumgartental West Side Bed follows.
