Altersbach Thundereggs

An unusual location and not that commonly seen, at least in any quality. These are characterised by an extremely dense and bright red agate plonked down rather bluntly inside a uniform but randomly shaped granular matrix. The agate often leaves holes, that may be filled with silicified mud, and often only occupies part of the matrix wall.
