A Nice, Rich Coloured Frieda Specimen

Now this is a superb Frieda specimen and it shows why the Friedas have such a reputation among collectors. To my eyes, it is the loveliest one on the site, thanks to that wonderfully colourful matrix - a tangle of gray mineral, rich red stone and flecks and pockets of blue. But then - i always did put a lot of importance on the matrix when i appreciate an egg. for me, it is always far more than just some sort of shell. often it is even more important than the agate it holds, which is why i am a thunderegg collector rather than an agate collector!
